Rehome a Pet or Stray

Rehoming Candidates

We want to help you rehome a pet, whether an owned pet or a stray for which you can no longer care/keep.

Is this a stray pet you can’t keep? Please visit the P.A.S.S. Program page for details about how to request rehoming help.

Is this an owned pet? We’d like to offer the following options before you decide to rehome:

I can’t feed my pet. Everyone feels the pinch now and then, we know! MARC may be able to provide a bag of pet food, or reach out to our local partners to help with your pet’s food needs on a short-term basis.

My pet has behavior issues. Several local trainers and pet behaviorists can offer advice, free of charge. Whether it’s barking, marking, fighting, misbehaving, or scratching/chewing, there are local experts available to offer suggestions.

My pet keeps getting pregnant. Let’s fix that problem, literally! Our community has a wonderful low-cost spay/neuter provider called Animal Birth Control Clinic. In addition to providing low-cost services to any pet owner, they also have some grant funds, city funds and private donations to financially assist those who otherwise could not afford it.

P.A.S.S. Program

MARC’s P.A.S.S. Program helps people find new homes for owned pets or strays when no other option is available. This service is only available to McLennan County residents (Greater Waco area).
